First Cowboy on the Moon
The first cowboy on the moon was sad and lonely. He knew his wife, back on Earth, was out honky-tonkin’ and cheatin’ on him. He took out his space flask of Jack Daniels and took a big swig.
“I wish you wouldn’t do that,” said the director of Mission Control on the TV screen.
“Look,” said the cowboy astronaut, “I figger if a man gives me a job, I’ll do the work, fair and square. I’ll go out and pick up them little moon pebbles and put ‘em in a bag, like I’m told. But if that man rides me too hard, I’ll up and quit!” He took another swig.
The Mission Control director backed off.
